Salaries up over 3% in recruitment in September, CV-Library reveals

Salaries increased by 3.8% in recruitment in September, according to CV-Library, which compared its data from September 2017 with data from the same period in 2016.

The statistics show that wages saw an impressive increase in many UK sectors, with retail also seeing a small month-on-month increase of 0.5% in September.  The industry was named one of the top 10 for a pay rise year-on-year, other key industries include:

1.     Hospitality – 24.6%

2.     Agriculture – 12.8%

3.     Automotive – 7.8%

4.     Retail – 7.1%

5.     Design – 6.5%

6.     Customer services – 6.4%

7.     Recruitment – 3.8%

8.     Engineering – 2.4%

9.     IT – 2%

10.   Marketing – 1.4%
