Half of jobseekers would accept pay cut to find jobs

The majority of jobseekers would be willing to take a job they are   overqualified for in a desperate attempt to find work, while half would   accept a pay cut, new figures suggest.

“We see overqualified candidates every day applying for jobs way below their experience and qualifications”, comments Helen Stacey from Aspire Jobs.  “The problem is that clients are very nervous about them leaving when the market picks up and taking a job more relevant to their experience.  This then leaves the employer back recruiting, training and starting the whole process afresh….”
